Family Fast...
Family fast on May 2nd. Will have another ultrasound on May 11th to see if the cyst is gone. The good news was that the cyst was gone, but they were concerned about another part of the brain. They were seeing something that looked like part of the brain (somewhere in the middle) might be missing. They ordered that I get a fetal MRI. Freaked me right out! The MRI was 40 minutes long and my hands started going numb! They needed you to be as still as possible and all I could feel was you moving around. They said they got good pictures though and sent us on our way. Nisey was with me because Daddy was gone. I had to go without eating before the MRI so Nise and I treated ourselves (and you) to lunch at the Iceberg...complete with a shake (burnt almond fudge, of course)! Needless to say, I was a mess for a week waiting to know the results. I did a lot of crying and a lot of praying and got more blessings. The spirit comforted me. I knew that no matter what, that everything would be okay. I knew that with the blessing of the gospel in my life, I had all the tools I needed to get through anything.
Me and Dad met with Dr. Kinghorn a week later and learned that the MRI showed everything to be just fine!!! What a relief! What a learning and growing experience too! While I was getting the MRI, I remember thinking. I just want to hold my baby! Right that second I wanted to hold you and love you. I had the same feeling when receiving the good news!
Before you had even come out, you had taught us so much about turning to our Heavenly Father and exercising our faith! You are a very special part of this family and I hope you'll always remember that!

Christmas Eve announcement
Christmas Even 2009 was a very special day for our family, not just because it was Christmas Eve, but today was the day we announced that we are having baby Egan #3! We told our boys first, of course, and Evan's reaction was priceless!!! I wish we had it on video! First of all, Evan has been asking for a baby in our family for months and months! Knowing that we were planning on having a baby some time this year, I bought some "Big Brother" shirts for the announcement. I told the boys we had an early present for them and I told them there was a baby in my tummy. Drew didn't quite get it, but Evan's face lit right up and he said "There is?! There's a baby in your tummy?!" He then started squeal and jump around followed by running up to me and giving me the biggest, sweetest hug! He was so excited!
Late afternoon we headed to my mom's house for our Christmas Eve party. We planned arrive a little bit late so everyone else would be there and that way when the boys took off their jackets everyone would see their "Big Brother" shirts. Shayla noticed first and yelled "Shut up! No way!" Then everyone else started catching on! I don't have to tell you how excited everyone was...they all were! It was fun to talk about the due date and hear everyone's speculation that it would be a girl this time for sure! ;) What a fun day a the best Christmas gift ever!
